Palo Santo Smudge Spray

This sacred smudge spray is made from the rare oil of the Palo Santo tree (Bursera graveolens) that is distilled in small quantities from sustainably harvested wood gathered in Ecuador. Palo Santo has a fresh, intense woody aroma with a hint of citrus.

The name Palo Santo means "Holy Wood”. Palo Santo Oil is only concentrated and deposited in the interior of the tree trunk. It can take up to 10 years to produce the oil becoming concentrated in their trunk. Only tree branches that fall naturally from the ground are used to make this oil. The average life of the tree of Palo Santo is between 80 and 90 years.

Long regarded as a spiritual oil, Palo Santo oil was used during the time of the Incas for its reputed spiritual purifying properties. Today, Palo Santo oil is also used for its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial qualities, repelling insects, muscle aches, and lung issues.
